Kendall Joudrie


Kendall Joudrie became the president of Thinking Robot studios Inc. in 2011 after the company was incorporated following 3 years of intensive research of the emerging 3D modeling and additive manufacturing technologies in the personalized endo- and exo- prosthetics.

Mr. Joudrie has a diverse background in ethics, sales, customer service, technology, innovation and human resource management in highly regulated unionized environments, and proven record of obtaining results as a Manager with the Nova Scotia Government. Recognized as a top-performer, lifelong learner and dedicated professional for more than 17 years, his record of achievements includes:

  • Fostering strong relationships with multinational corporations, the public, employees, management, business and government by utilizing expertise and passion in such fields as human rights, ethics and best business practice;

Gregg M. Gellman

Chief Executive Officer & Partner

Mr. Gellman is a proven business executive leader specializing in coordinating and directing multiple project ideation, design and development projects, spearheading the creation of state-of-the-art medical devices and their accompanying innovative procedural applications. He has extensive experience in executive managerial roles in the biotechnology industry, including as a founder, owner, board member and operator overseeing all operations for the design, prototyping and development of advanced medical devices that are embraced by the medical industry. He is proficient in setting project initiatives and driving R&D team performances to achieve timely project schedules, designing and administering budgets, raising venture capital, securing grant funding, and generating positive annual revenues. Mr. Gellman has a proven track record orchestrating all prerequisites of bringing products to successful commercialization through tactical strategies, intellectual property design and management, regulatory compliance, product innovation, marketing and business development as well as project and supply chain management for both medical and technology-driven markets.

Mr. Gellman is experienced in strategic planning roles for both large, well-established and startup biotechnology companies fostering an atmosphere for each member of the organization to be personally vested in the success of all projects and continually aligns with the vision of the enterprise. He can adapt lean manufacturing concepts and techniques within the framework of ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 for enhanced marketability as well as to increase efficiencies, streamline costs, and maximize profitability.

Mr. Gellman is experienced in recruiting and retaining quality employees through sound team building concepts, excellent communication, organizational, motivational, entrepreneurial and respected leadership skills. He excels in guiding and directing individuals to maximize productivity and their own personal potential towards bringing about new, emerging technologies.

A Graduate of the State University of New York College at Buffalo, Mr. Gellman is clinically certified in orthopedics, operating room protocol, blood borne pathogens, osteobiologics and electrical stimulation for tissue regeneration and wound care. Mr. Gellman has also completed the requirements for HIPPA compliance in New York State. Additionally, he is certified in Quality Systems for Medical Devices: FDA’s QSR and ISO 13485 and Global Product Submissions Directive Requirements 510(k), PMA, CE Mark.

Jourdan Dakov

Chief Technology Officer & Vice President of Engineering

In 2004 Mr. Dakov met orthopedic surgeon Vladislav Raykov, MD, PhD and since then they have been working on many projects in the design of custom orthopedic implants, surgical guides and instruments. They have developed a multi-resection approach with a single surgical guide to eliminate the need for multiple surgeries in bone deformity corrections and a system for fixing plates to enable acceleration of bone structure restoration.

Jourdan has developed his own methods for parametric design of patient-specific surgical guides that during the past several years were proven in the operating room and recognized by the surgeons as more precise alternative to the conventional surgical instruments.

Mr. Dakov has served as CTO & VP of Engineering of Thinking Robot Studios Inc. since November 2014. Prior to joining the company Mr. Dakov had the role of Lead Mechanical Engineer at Johnson Controls’ Automotive Electronics Division (now Visteon) and was responsible for leading groups of R&D engineers in the development of products in highly regulated environment. He joined Johnson Controls as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in 2007 and since then Mr. Dakov has developed Instrument Panels for General Motors and Ford and participated in numerous other projects for European and Japanese car manufacturers. JCI’s North American projects background proved his maturity in project management and leadership.

Mr. Dakov gathered extensive experience in developing design processes and manufacturing practices during setting-up a new business in mold-making for Intechna - a privately owned company who reached the national Top 5 in the mold-making industry for 5 years after opening its first manufacturing facility. Additionally, Mr. Dakov implemented Quality Management System and led successfully the company to obtain ISO 9001 certificate.

Mr. Dakov spent 9 years in Intechna starting as an intern in 1997 and became partner in 2002 with the position of Engineering Manager.

Graduated from the Technical University Sofia, Mr. Dakov received his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 1997 specializing in core technologies for production and contemporary models for engineering, design and manufacturing.
